Default Task Management tools

This is sort of a vague question/thread, but I'm looking for input on what type of task management tools people around here use. Either software or physical. I typically just use Outlook's calendar, but I'm hoping to find something a little more visual and effective than a reminder popup in my Outlook client.

I tend to like old school stuff, so even a physical board with cards and stuff might work, but software is definitely a viable option as well. Anyone have any experiences and recommendations?

Google scrum wall. But this is more suited for teams.

Read Getting Things Done. A single piece of paper folded is very hard to beat.

If you go electronic, it needs to auto sync to every device you use, work computer, iphone, home computer etc. Start witj a simple text file synced with dropbox.

You may think you don't need access to your work task list at home. Afterall, who wants to bring their work home with them? The quickest way though to set these kind of interuptive work thoughts aside is to just wrote them down for later.

Photon, you need to implement a thanks ^10 button.

I would say this could actually replace a scrum wall where I work - and that is not an easy thing to do. We have tried a lot of products over the years but this one looks to be very close to what I would want out of this kind of product.

Yeah it's made by the Fog Creek guys so it should be very good for that kind of thing.

I still can't get Wunderkit to work properly. You enter in tasks but on your dashboard they don't appear in order of due date, but rather in the order they were entered. Then there's the master task list at the bottom to let you know when things are due and sometimes things show up in it and sometimes they don't.

I much prefer Wunderlist, but it's basically just a robust to-do list application.
