Default Disk (Frisbee) Golf

I don't know about anyone else but I love to play Disk Golf and Ultimate Frisbee. What I am wondering is if there are any actual Disk Golf courses in Calgary or Ultimate leagues.
I tried searching around but I cannot find much information on either one.
Any help would be appreceated.

There are three frisbee golf courses in Calgary in Forest Lawn, Centennary Park and Parkland (Park 96). Also there is an organization in the city that's all about frisbee golf too: http://members.shaw.ca/discgolf1/CDGA/main.html .

I've never actually been to any of the real courses but every summer some friends and I set up a course of our own and just play there. Great way to spend an afternoon, I say.

Hope all that helps...

UofC Intermarials had a Ultimate league last summer, I played in it. Check with the them, or any affiliations with UofC.

Yea, I live in Parkland and they setup a disc golf course...with my money. I didn't know that many people were in to disc golf. I see some pretty intense people playing the course, which makes me wonder if it really is 'private'. I bet people approach them and ask to pay some money for access. I say a big 'meh', at least they pay. You can try checking that out...or buy me some beer and I will let you borrow my pass.

Anyways, a google found this http://members.shaw.ca/discgolf3/index.htm

(which seems to be part of the same site previously posted...but no way to navigate to it?)

If you spend time up in Canmore over the summer there is a large disk golf course off of Three Sisters Blvd, by Stewart Creek Golf Course.

Parkland has a great disc golf course and you can get a pass for about $100/year, worth it because it's the only decent course in Calgary. Canmore has an amazing course set up at the cross country ski area, well worth the trip to play a couple rounds.

And here is a site that you might want for courses around Alberta

Haven't played Ultimate for a few years but this is the league that I was in and it was run good at the time.

I don't think there's going to be a replacement, which sucks because its nice having a course in the city centre. They're adding tee boxes to the course in Bowness so I think they've decided that is going to be the replacement. Unfortunately thats a 30 minute drive for me at the best of times, and its nowhere near a transit route.

You cant buy passes to the Parkland course anymore. You have to be a resident of Parkland or a guest of resident to enter the park.
If you're not adverse to climbing a 6-foot fence you can play it easy enough, just be careful when climbing in. Ive probably played it around 50 times and have never had a problem.

That one is good. There is also one by the Nordic Centre, which is larger and forested.
