Sens advance to the 2nd round after a 5-3 win!
The reason for the Sens advancing-we only allowed 6 goals in the 4 games.

Congrats to the Jets on a great season. Bring on round 2!

wow Pitts gets trounced and swept. Philly looking dangerous.
columbus and dallas have a barn burner. Looks like LA wins to fight another day.
Congrats to Ottawa, Nash, Phi for advancing.

Edit: Wow, Deadline pickup for PHI Elias nets 4 goals

7-6 loss in overtime...nice to see some scoring. Fatigued hiller likley the difference 96 con going into what promises to be the last game of the season for the Stars.

Sure met the Rangers at the wrong time. Hard to believe Pavelec continues to school Lundy. Gone cold at the wrong time and missing Kunitz. SIM love is certainly gone out the window. Wow is right

Deadline acquisition John Madden comes up big against his former club. Very close game with Methot scoring into the empty net.

The first line has been fairly invisible so far and we will look to get them going in game 5.

3 teams swept and the Rangers looking to pull off the biggest upset against the top seed.

Important OT win for Montreal in this one. Rinne played well, but it was Backstrom who stole the show in a losing effort, stopping 39 of 41. No idea how Backstrom ended up without a star. Bad news for Montreal as Drew Stafford scores the regulation goal, but is now out for a month with a torn ACL.

Hamilton is swept in their series with an OT loss, but the unknown players were not involved in this one, so congrats to the Admirals.

Tough OT loss in this tight series.

Great game from backstrom, but it was wasted with no offense up front.

The Caps will likely keep their lineup the same for game 5.

Awesome! Nashville goes to round two! I thought it was going 6-7 for sure, but we managed to win 4 straight. Congrats to Vancouver for their season as well.

I guess starting Turco in 5 out of the last 7 games of the regular season might be paying off as Ryan Miller goes into the next game with 100 con while that other goalie in Dallas is only a 96 con.

How much worse can it get for the Stars when Colin Greening is the hero in OT for the Jackets? Ryan Miller really struggled in this game but he still got the win and that's all that matters.

Can we move on to round 2 tomorrow?

What a horrible showing here! Only good thing about this embarassment is I get to weed a lot of these losers out sooner rather then later. Good luck to Philly as I think he is gonna be tough to stop. Was aggressive making deals and it paid off for him.

Flames kept it close against the Dead...errr..Red Wings and a last minute goal capped off a 5-3 win for the Detroiters.
The Flames wont quit though and hope to take game 5 back in the Hood and force a 6th game back in Cowtown.

The games were a lot closer than the sweep. First 2 games of the series could've easily gone to Pit (OT wins for us). Tough to see a good team and a good GM knocked out so early but one of us had to go just glad its wasn't me. Congrats on a solid season Jeff!

Looking like we'll be facing Caps or Habs in the 2nd round. Another tough matchup.
