What a tease these two games were. Now have to wait a week before real games again.

Colon with a great 8-inning 3-hit effort and Cespedes First MLB Ding. Pretty solid game.

St. Louis vs Miami on the 4th is the first non Japan game. Then all the rest start on the 5th/6th.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a broadcast schedule for SportsNet for the 2012 MLB season?
I'd love to be able to mark the calendar as to when the Rangers are going to be on TV.
Obviously when they play the Jays, but SportsNet East tends to show the odd Red Sox game, and Pacific shows a handful of Mariners games, plus Sunday Night Baseball, etc I'd love to be able to schedule around seeing my guys play.

Since you're not a Jays fan (Jays games are blacked out in all of Canada), have you thought about MLB TV? I think it's $110 for the year and you can watch the games live or at your leisure after the fact.

Sorry, should've been clearer. They are blacked out on MLB.tv, yes. Copied from their website:
Quote:
Regular Season Local Live Blackout: All live games on MLB.TV and available through MLB.com At Bat are subject to local blackouts. Such live games will be blacked out in each applicable Club's home television territory, regardless of whether that Club is playing at home or away. If a game is blacked out in an area, it is not available for live game viewing. If you are an MLB.TV Premium subscriber and not within either Club's home television territory, the applicable game will be available as an archived game as soon as possible after the conclusion of the game. If you are an MLB.TV Premium subscriber within either Club's home television territory or an MLB.TV subscriber in any territory, the applicable game will be available as an archived game approximately 90 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Archived games are not available through MLB.com At Bat.
In addition, note:- These blackout restrictions apply regardless of whether a Club is home or away and regardless of whether or not a game is televised in a Club's home television territory.
- All live Toronto Blue Jays games are blacked out throughout the entire country of Canada.
- Additional teams may also be subject to blackout in parts of Canada based on their region.
- All live games will be blacked out in the U.S. territories of Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands during the MLB regular season.
|
I've bolded the interesting parts - it seems that although the Jays home territory is all of Canada and all live Jays games are blacked out (forcing you to watch on Sportsnet), that you can still watch the games archived on MLV.tv about 90 minutes after the conclusion.

The only thing that pisses me off though is they make you buy the sportsnet channels top up to get all the games since sportsnet west doesn't show them all the time. Way too many times last year Sportsnet Pacific and Ontario would show Jays while SN East and West would show a different game.

yes I could do the MLB.TV option. However, if I'm getting SportsNet anyway I'd like to know what the broadcast schedule looks like to weigh the costs/benefits of purchasing MLB.TV
How much will I actually watch it, versus games that I'd get on TV anyway, versus cost. Granted it's only $110, but if I can get by without paying it, why wouldn't I?
That said, is there a broadcast schedule for SportsNet baseball games anyway?
