I assume there will be salary retained by Carolina though, as Pittsburgh could've claimed him off waivers recently.

This is a good pick up for Pitts, 40-70 points in each season for the past 3 years leading up to this year. That is a wide range of points, but at least the low is still reasonable.
3 mill for another year, rumour is Carolina plans to eat some salary.. in the past he has played his best when playing with good players, surprise surprise, but Pitts has no shortage of skilled players.
8 seasons in the NHL if I am counting right, and 6/8 he scores at 0.5 PPG or higher.

Iginla: Well, I kept telling Sutter that I wanted to play with Jussi Jokinen, so he got Ollie. Then after he traded him away, he asked me again who I want to play with. I told him, we need Jussi "Shootout" Jokinen. So he re-aqcuired Ollie... FML.
