Nashville Clinches Playoff Berth!
The Nashville Predators punched their ticket to the post-season with a 7-1 win over the New York Rangers. "Its been a great season" said GM Slava "most of the experts had us somewhere between 11th and 15th in the west, so for us to be in the conversation is nice, but clinching today is pretty awesome."
The Predators were led by Antoine Vermette in this game as he put up four points. Miika Kiprusoff stopped all but one and overall it was a solid performance.
The positioning for the playoffs has yet to be finalized, but its looking like a Predators vs. Canucks first round match-up at this point. "We barely scraped by them earlier this week, so if this spot holds we're expecting a long, grueling series. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it though. For now we're just happy to be here!"
