Default Toshiba Laptop not synching with Samsung LCD| TV

Anybody want to help a brotha out? I have been connecting my laptop to my TV for ages and then one of my friends comes over.

I leave the room for 1 minute and he moves my laptop and must have hit a button. Since then I cannot get this sucker to work on my tv.

I have Googled forever for a month. I tried a few different HDMI cables. I went into my Toshiba settings and it actually recognizes the TV when I plug the HDMI into the laptop, but the TV just says No SIGNAL

I'm considering just trying a VGA to VGA hook up I'm so desperate. My TV has that. No S-Video. TV is about 3 years old.

Thanks

Choose display and going to projector is a good shortcut. You can also try the Extend option.

Or right click on desktop and choose screen resolution and see if a second monitor is showing there.

Weird. I did try extend option. When I am in the display properties after right clicking, it actually detects my Samsung TV on the laptop. TV just says finding signal and then no signal.

Reboot the computer with it plugged into the TV.

Primary Display: Built in Display CMO1680
Second Display: Digital Television SAMSUNG

No for some reason it doesn't. I even tried all 3 of my HDMI ports as well on my TV and 2 different HDMI cables...

Do other devices work on those inputs? Maybe those inputs on your actual TV are broken.
