Saw that this guy is currently the WHL points leader. Looked him up and saw that he's undrafted, and in his last WHL season if I'm mistaken. Seems to have solid stats throughout his WHL career and a great +/-. He's small for a twenty year old, especially for a center...
Anyone have some info on this guy? Why is he undrafted? Is it a size thing? Attitude? Seems like a guy worth taking a chance on...

He's known to play a bit dirty...I see a bit of Lapierre in him.
Combined with the question as to how much is his own skill and how much is a stacked line with his size and there's a bit of question to whether or not he's really draft material.
I'd extend a training camp offer to him though.

I don't know much of anything about him, but like Kirant suggested, he's probably on the most stacked line in the WHL.
A camp invite would be great, but I'm sure every other GM in the league is taking notice of him.
I don't mind having a few dirty players on the team, in fact, I think he almost needs to be a dirty, mean player at his size.
I wonder if he's anything like Marchand...
EDIT - nvm, Kirant's information changed my mind.

he's actually already 21 ... the scoreline is impressive, but there have been overagers with spectacular numbers before. Don't think he's anything special, especially at 5'9. He had 82- and 96-point-seasons before and is still unsigned - there have to be reasons for that. He'll surely get an AHL deal somewhere.

Some other notes from HF's topic on him:
- Was invited to Phoenix training camp
- Heavy on hockey smarts
- Not particularly fast or skilled, but illusive and good at reading plays...more playmaker than sniper
- Has been suspended for 20 games for a brutal hit before
- Has been suspended for (what they call. I never heard this suspension) "Accumulation of Diving Penalties"
- Good faceoff skills
- Undersized, but less noticeable than many players

This is a player I want no where near the Flames organization.
A dirty, cheapshotting puck, combined with a diving loser. The guy actually got SUSPENDED for diving too much. How often does that happen?
No thank you.

Perfect timing...
As per Dregger, Shinnimman signed to an entry-level contract by Phoenix.
