Poster: A toss up between mbeau and Helsa. Mbeau had a couple of good league analysis posts, but Helsa was pretty active this week.

Player - Patrick Marleau - 2G, 1A, 3Pts, +2, 22 for 36 on faceoffs (61%), 2nd star. After a couple off weeks, Marleau overcame the obstacle of rotating linemates and stepped up big.

Goalie - Pekka Rinne - 2.50 GAA, 0.911 Sv%, 2nd star

Unsung - Ville Leino - 1G, 1A, 2Pts, +2, 3 shots blocked, 3rd star. 64 OV From the 3rd line.

Poster - dsavillian - Lots of good posting all around this week. That stats tracker thing seemed like a more involved and useful thing than we see in a typical week. Nice work. (Of course we only have his word it actually exists. ). Honourable mention to Mbeauchamp for his stat breakdowns. I enjoyed those as well.

Player - Zach Parise - 2G, 1A, 3P, +2, 11 SOG. Accounted for 2/3 of the Hawks' goals this week. Also one 1st star and one 2rd star selection.

Goalie - Ilya Bryzgalov - 1.51 GAA, 0.952 SV%, Two 2nd star selections

Rookie - Jeff Skinner - 1G, 1P, +1, One 3rd Star selection. Given that my team only got 3 goals in this week, that's a big contribution.

Pens nominees all 3GP

Defenseman - Josh Gorges - 0g 2a 2pts +4 - the team lost 3 1 goal games, but Gorges was solid putting up points and leading the team in +/- over that span.

Unsung - Darren Helm - 2g 1a 3pts + 2, 1st star - led the team to a shootout loss while earning 1st star against the Kings and provided a huge spark from the 4th line all week long.

Rookie - Jordan Eberle 1g 2a 3pts +3, 2nd star - Keeps providing great secondary scoring while playing limited minutes mostly on the 4th line. Always responsible on both ends of the rink.
