ACN Canada? Pyramid Scheme?

This guy from my work is trying to get everyone to sign up for this ACN multi level marketing thing. www.acncanada.ca It seems like a total pyramid scheme to me. You basically get all your utilities, phone, and tv through these guys and seem to get money back from it?

It just seems like one of those to good to be true things. I think its a total scam. Anyone else heard of this?

They actually arent a bad product. The "only" reason I didnt switch to them is becuase my wife calls LD overseas a lot and the country she calls still has high rates....other than that, the rates are solid.
TV is Bell Canada and phone jumps on Bell network as well. ACN has been around for quite awhile, they just dont market like the big boys. Decent product and I know a number of people who use this service in Ontario with no issues at all.
I wouldnt get my Utilities through them...but the rest is fine.

They seem to be very limited with services. They don't have Enmax of Shaw, and my Rogers plan isn't up until 3 years from now. I see no point for myself to go through them, and I believe you need to pay a yearly service. I still don't buy into this thing.

Used ACN for long distance for about a year, 'bout 7 years ago. No problems or complaints, never had an issue with them.

Sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.

I sat trough a presentation for a company that sold long distance plans. You were given a small amount of commision for people you managed to sell long distance plans to. You were given more money for sellers you managed to recruit.

If there's a genuine product and you are getting commision from that, then yes it's more legit. If the money comes from a buy-in that new recruits pay, then it's a pyramid scam. The line can be pretty blurred sometimes.

Its a pyrimid scheme in that people make money by extending the pyramid more so than by selling the product.

But it isnt an illegal if the products being purchased have a value similar to what they cost
