Only models with 4 USB slots in the front of the console will have backwards compatibility.
Also there are no slim models in general that play PS2 games. Only fat consoles made prior to October 2007 feature this.
I have a few myself, so I might be willing to part with one, although I have no idea what I'd actually want for one. Also you need to know that the older models can breakdown, and they can run very loud at times.
