It's up against house, HIMYM and the ratings machine that is DWTS. I'm fine with this though, 4 seasons for a show that has always been the underdog is fine by me.
Loved, LOOOVED the episode tonight. I'll take that humour mixed in with drama over House any day of the week. I think it's obvious we should expect a lighter tone in a lot of places this season, compared to last.
Vandelay industries was a great little easter egg, and sexting was hilarious.
tonight i deleted the season opener and removed it from my series recordings. it's a show that's always walked the line of my tastes because it's just a generic sitcom, but NPH always managed to salvage it into something entertaining. but last season i found that Barney's magic finally wore off, and i was just watching a series with one of the worst main characters in recent memory. then when i read the info box for tonights episode and saw it was another all about Ted one, i finally gave up on it
Chuck being completely over-the-top awesome completely made up for it though
I'll go against the grain to say I was disappointed with last night's episode. Dolph Lundgren's "Rocky IV" lines we forced. Some of the show's funniest moments came in the Buy More. I would rather watch Big Mike, Jeff, Lester and others than high tech gizmos.

what is the over/under on Linda Hamilton with "Come with me if you want to live" or "You are all dead, all of you"?
Chuck last night felt forced. Still not telling the people he's with what he's doing, and having it a major plot point, for the 4th season running? I dunno. Nothing felt right. I like chuck, but I wouldn't watch it based on that season opener.

I'll I can say is dammmmn to the near upskirt camera work.
I like the episode, was it as strong as previous years, not really, but there were some keys. Everyone believes that the Ring is dead, however they were also willing to believe that the ring was reconsitituted, trust me there are still ring members floating out there.
Do we know for sure that chuck's mom is on the side of the angels? I have a funny feeling that she isn't.
Dolph was quite awesome last night, but its too bad that they offed him, I did Chuckle at the two Rocky 4 lines, it was quite sad when he was dying and he begged for his life and Chuck's mom seemed to enjoy the kill.
The buymore thing made me laugh, any bets that Big Mike shows up begging for a job?

It is too bad they offer dolph so quickly, I was hoping he'd stick around for a few episodes. Oh well. Hopefully next week gas Jeff and Lester as well as more ellie and awesome.
Chuck up against the toughest timeslot in TV, drew a 2.1 up from the finale, and this was without any advertising at all from NBC. Pretty impressive, but I'm still not going to get my hopes up just yet.
In the promo for the next 4 episodes, we do see Chuck talking to Ellie about searching for their mom. So I don't see that arc lasting the entire season.
