I helped my dad set up his home theater system with his new TV last night, and we having problems.

All the speakers work on the DVD player, but not all the speakers work on all the channels, and not always all the time. For example. 206 on Shaw was working just fine, 207 was only one speaker until the commercials came on then they all worked. I have already rewired the speakers once with no change. It worked with the old TV just fine, but with new TV it isn't working the same.

Any ideas?

That's odd. So you just swapped out the tv and the problems started? You run everything through a reciver, yes?

Think we are going to need what your setp includes.

Make sure your receiver settings are correct. You may be trying to process 5.1 sound through a stereo setting.

Problem resolved its self. I cracked a beer, checked all the wires, turned everything on, everything works like it should.
