Default 11 people killed in Ontario crash

http://thechronicleherald.ca/canada/...-ontario-crash

horrific crash....supposedly "migrant workers".

Police believe a passenger van loaded with people was travelling west when it was broadsided by the flatbed.
They say the impact caused the truck to roll over into the yard of a home at the intersection, pushing the passenger van against the side wall of the house.
Police say 10 people in the van were killed, along with the driver of the truck.

Horrible. Saw this on the news earlier.
Seeing stuff like this makes me not want to drive.

Brutal crash.

Makes me wonder too, I work on the rigs and once I get off the main highways, I rarely see anything smaller than a pickup. What would happen if one of those bigger trucks had a mechanical failure, what would happen if a smaller vehicle made a bad decision and pulled out in front of them when they shouldn't? Generally they are single or double occupancy, not 12 though. Wonder what the story of the people in the van is, and who they were?

Certainly the big horrific crashes make you think twice for a few days...

Allegedly migrant workers, possibly Mexican according to reports last night.

Travelling west, the sun sets at around 5:45 and the accident happened sometime around 5. I wonder if the driver of the van was a bit blinded and didn't notice the intersection or the stop sign?

And here is the Google street view of the intersection: http://g.co/maps/bzwvt
