Xmas break - feedback please

Normally we shut down completely over the holidays for about 10 days - but this year it is actually relatively easy for me to continue simming.

I'd like to stay well ahead of the NHL schedule. Last year we finished the season later than I would prefer which compressed our off-season tasks. Given that I will have a wee one arriving in the spring - it is even more important that we stay ahead of the game.

So here's the choices.

Option 1
Games simmed up to Dec 22nd
Break from Dec 23 - Dec 26
Games simmed from Dec 27-Dec 31 (31st may be scrubbed)
Break Jan 1st
Resume normal simming Jan 2nd

Option 2
Games simmed up to Dec 22nd
Break Dec 23rd - Jan 1st
Resume normal simming Jan 2nd.

Please weigh in if you have a strong preference. I'll add a poll here but this isn't a majority rules thing - if Option 1 doesn't work for a significant chunk of GMs then we will simply take the normal break.

I like the first option, but given that I'll be here for the whole time its a non-concern for me as well. Will players be rested for a certain amount of days?

With the inlaw in town I plan on working through xmas this year which means more CPHL time!

Option 1 for me.

I may rest players 2 days - nothing more than that though.

Ya, I'll vote option 1 as well. I don't really have any strong feelings either way, so I will go with the option that gets us to the finish line faster.

I would prefer option #2 given that I will be out of town with only a crappy netbook. Holidays are stressful enough without me forgetting to do my lines!

That said, I should be able to accommodate if the group decides more on option #1.
