Guys: Do you dance at formal Parties
An informal poll.. guys do you dance at the formal parties? Such as the Office Christmas Party?
We had ours last Friday night and I was somewhat surprised at the number of guys who won't dance. There was a live jazz band so there were both fast and slow songs, not the generic DJ house music.
I saw singles guys who didn't dance plus married/coupled guys that didn't dance with their SO. Alot of girls dressed up for the occasion but then just went home with their guys when the music started. It was alot of fun, I left after midnight and most of the crowd young and old were still there.
What says you?

If there's music and a young lady wants to dance, I see no reason not too.

Agreed, but I'll never dance unless absolutely necessary. It brings me no pleasure and I suck at it.

Absolutely! I may not be the best judge as to whether I do it well, but I get up there anyways.

I would also like to note that the amount of dancing is directly proportional to blood alcohol level. Although the quality of dancing is inversely proportional.

Hell yes! A great way to burn off all those calories consumed earlier. Plus it's my favourite part of the evening.

If I'm absolutely plastered I'll pull out some sweet dance moves from the vault and hit the floor. The problem is they're terrible and I only think they're good because I'm wasted.
As the great poet Rebecca Black once said, "There's a crime scene on the dance floor". That sums it up.

I haven't been to an office Christmas party with dancing, however other formal occasions such as benefit dances, New Year's Eve, Weddings, etc I will totally dance.
I never used to dance at all, then I grew up and realized "who cares, no one's watching me"
and if I notice people are watching me I try and be as ridiculous and outlandish as possible.
It's all in good fun, plus the hangover isn't nearly as bad the next day

After a few drinks I am dancing like a maniac! Girls love a guy who gets out and dances and makes an ass of him self! Works 60% of the time, every time!

Depends if I am into the music or not. How much the crowd is into it. If there are any girls around I want to dance with, etc.

I made the mistake of watching Desmond Morris' specials on human sexuality.
He compared humans dancing with various examples of mating behavoirs in other animals species. Now if I dance, this is all I'm thinking about.
So no, I don't dance, and I flat out refuse to now. If a lady wants to dance, she can go right a head. I'm more interested in impressing her with my brains, not my poorly coordinated wiggling routines.
