Default Laraque Running for Green Party

Not a hockey news, but noteworthy. If elected, would he be allowed to beat the living #### out of his opponents in Parliament?

Could be. This was in today's Globe and Mail. I haven't heard of it before.

Laraque has been part of the party for 3 years. I think this is the first time he's running.

He's probably less punch drunk than Elizabeth May.

I think the CHL players union turned out to be a scam.

Not sure how a guy who was dooped into being the patsie CHL players union president as part of an amature-hour scam would perform as a MP (That said I guess that UofO bartender girl ended up as a NDP MP). I think George would have a hard time representing his own concerns let alone the concerns of an entire federal riding.

Keep in mind that he is running as a member of the Green Party, whose answer for health care involves making the air cleaner. I don't think addressing people's actual concerns is all that important to them.

If elected i want him to return any salary earned while playing for a team called the "oilers".

Any benefit from the oil industry is not allowed for a greenie.

Generally, finding the root cause of a problem is a good thing. I'm not saying cleaner air is the answer to spiraling health care costs but I think that kind of thinking will solve a lot of problems.
