I don't get the hype. Besides some pretty cool special effects, that trailer make it look like a terrible movie. I honestly thought it was a parody at first.

Between The Hobbit, Batman, and the Avengers, 2012 should be an amazing year at the cinema.
I assume this will be in 3d as well?
Not only that, but it's also being shot in 48 frames per second rather than the conventional 24. That, in my opinion, is a much more exciting and worthwhile innovation in film than 3D.
