If you know anyone on this diet, please share this info!
This is an extremely dangerous diet that doesn't work because of the hormone that they are ingesting (hcg), it's the starvation. They suggest 500-800 calories/day! So completely unhealthy.
I have literally helped hundreds of people lose weight and completely transform their bodies & lives and know, especially with New Years resolutions fast approaching, that so many people will be looking for a quick fix. Sadly, HCG pills, drops and injections are still readily available.
There are SO many other, safer options out there. I just really hope nobody falls for this garbage!
My wife and I also did the Body by Vi 90 Day Challenge.
I lost 37 pounds during my first 90 days while she lost 20. No exercise whatsoever.
We started promoting it and qualified for a free BMW and have already helped 6 people in our team get one too, on top of making 1-3+ k/month.
Not sure why so many people waste time in a gym if they are trying to lose weight.
Anyone who knows anything about the subject will tell you that to lose weight, 80% of your focus needs to be on diet while only 20 % should be on exercise.
That's why the 90 day Challenge works so well.
67,000 NEW people joined last month alone.
20th consecutive month of double digit growth.
Just officially launched in Canada 3 days ago too so it's about to go even more viral than it has up to this point.
Hulk Hogan, Roy Jones Jr, Dennis Rodman, multiple UFC/MMA fighters, NFL players, 6 members of the Stamps as of last weeks, almost the entire BC Lions team, some Eskies, numerous Alouettes, and even the first Captain of the Calgary Flames, Brad Marsh, as well as TONS of fitness professionals and other athletes are ALL promoting this Challenge.
I was the first person west of Ontario to do this, and have helped hundreds transform their lives and body... so if you want anymore info, or just want me to mail you a sample so you can see what all the fuss is about, shoot me a PM and I would LOVE to help you reach your goals.
Congrats to everyone who have posted their results on this thread. Always awesome to see people making changes to their health, no matter how its done
When I read this, I wanted to reach through my computer screen, and delete every piece of crap you put in that post. There is so much wrong with it, I do not know where to start. It is an excellent plan if you want vagina neck/fat flap loose skin sores, for a year or two, only to bounce back to tubbyville.
The diet you are pimping, is just as dangerous, as the one you linked. Losing 37 pounds in 90 days, IS NOT HEALTHY.
I can tell you with an dedicated exercise regimen, you can lose weight, without reducing, and even increasing caloric intake, and I do know something about the subject.
Also, Body by Vi, is just another garbage MLM scam.
My improvement in health is pretty well known on this board due to the stop smoking thread. I did have the benefit of being in pretty good shape when I was younger, but let myself go in my early 30's. When I committed to going back to get myself into shape again, I hired and talked with a professional, accredited personal trainer, even though I knew the routine. Not an MLM marketer.
His number one piece of advice was the complete opposite. Exercise trumps diet EVERY SINGLE TIME (within reason of course.) I increased my caloric intake an average of 1200 calories a day, and still dropped around 30 pounds over about a six month span. How? 6000 kms of cycling over 6 months, and 4-5 days a week of dedicated, regimented weight lifting. I have gained back 15 of the 30 lbs in lean muscle mass, so I am not complaining.
Sure, some people are OK with the Subway 'I look like I have AIDS" Jared look, but the benefits body and mind to getting yourself back into peak shape, transcend more than how you look. But without the excercise, you are destined for failure. You have done nothing to speed up or alter your metabolism, and you are one holiday season and 3 bags of Lays away from relapsing into old habits. When exercise is habitual, you can cheat every now and then and get away with it. I honestly put zero thought into what I eat, besides just cutting out sugar, that's it. If I am hungry, I eat something sensible. At the end of the day, as long as you have a good balance of calories in vs. calories burnt, you should be able to maintain a healthy weight unless you have a gland disorder. Sitting on your couch, burns roughly zero calories.
If given the choice of looking chunky, but feeling and being healthy, or being a thin malaise, sack of skin, I will be the chunky guy any day of the week. Getting home from work after a stressful workday, and still having a full tank of energy, and no back fatigue, and a sharp mind ta boot, transcends any physical look.
I am no expert by any means. But so much of it is just common sense. The fact that people try and cheat nature, with these BS fad diets, really pisses me off. More so for the poor saps that buy into these plans with false hopes, when they are destined to gain it all back 80-90% of the time.

I think the entire intent of this thread, was so the OP could come back in later and promote his multi level marketing. Glad the setup was sniffed out so fast by pylon.
Her friend from work was telling her about this new diet. And the HGC drug and limiting to 500 calories a day. My wife was just gobbling up this crap like it was candy. I hate things like this. My wife gets so excited and these fad things with absolutely no understanding what she is really doing to her body. She doesn't seem to understand that losing weight is work. I'm getting sick of trying to explain to her that these fad type things are not healthy. I come across as the big bad ####### shooting down her dreams of losing weight. I've already emailed her a link to this article, thankfully she'll listen to that and maybe wont think i am such a jerk.
As far as this whole topic goes. I moved within walking distance to my work back in May. I walk about 15mins to work each way, pretty much every day. I'll maybe miss 1 trip a week (1 way trip). About 3 times a week after dinner I go for a walk. I know its not Calgary cold, but its pretty cold in the morning and at night. This small amount of exercise has yielded no physical results whatsoever and I had no expectations of that. However, my blood pressure has droped. I was usually around 135ish- 149ish over 88ish - 92ish. Now im regularly in the low 120's and low 80's. I don't remember the last time I hit 130 or hit 90. I feel a lot better, and I don't beat myself up as much for being a bump on the log which makes me feel better emotionally. I'm hoping to eventually get to a gym on a regular basis and lose the extra 30 pounds that i'm carrying.
I walk maybe 30-45 minutes a day, and its made a difference in how I have felt these last 7 months, so its definitely worth it.

I do not promote not working out at all.
But, my wife and I both lost our weight without doing it at all.
No gym time, no running, no weights.
I strongly encourage my customer to indeed workout.
I am just saying that WE did not. Many people I know actually, did not. Still amazing results though. Imagine that!
MLM/Pryamis scam...I love debating this with people who obviously know nothing about the subject, as you clearly are proving that by posting a link to a page run by a distributor of another MLM company. Smooth.
I never posted this to promote my own company at all. Hence no links. The reason I did so was to show others who may not know so that the HCG diet is extremely dangerous.
Now, since you brought up my own, I would love to debate it.
We are owned by a 1.5 BILLION dollar, publicly traded on the TSX company called Blyth. The same company that brought PartyLite candles to the world. 1.5 BILLION.
You've seen the list of celebrities who promote with us. They are NOT paid celebrities like you see on TV talking about how wonderful Jenny Craig and similar companies are. They are here because the stuff works. Plain and simple. And I'm sure if there was any scent of "scam" they would never have joined in the first place.
Speaking of scam, lets go over that some more.
PYRAMID and SCAM go together way too often. It's like dirty politician.
It's a shame that too many people just don't know what the difference is.
Are we a pyramid? Absofreakinglutely!!! LOVE being in a pyramid.
Wal-Mart, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, and every major corporation is a pyramid scam.
The difference between my pyramid and Walmarts is this:
That walmart greeter you pass by every day: He has almost a zero chance to move up the rank. He might eventually make it to cashier, and maybe even dept manager, but he will never make it to Store Manager, regional manager, vP of anything etc.
I can. I have 2 girls "under" me who are at the same pay scale as I am. 1 of them will even advance past me this month. That is someone in my own team.
Amway, Tupperware, PartyLite, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Mary Kay, Avon....
Ever heard of them?
All MLM companies too.
Must be a scam too eh?
Don't get me wrong, there are TONS of MLM scams out there. My folks lost lots of money in one venture years ago. I have a few friends lose cash recently too. There are indeed scams, but why take a link from someone from a competing company an believe it to be true?
The scam debate is something I love to talk about because most people who want to believe that it is truly a scam, believe so because they are jealous that they cant do it themselves and are mad when they see other peoples success in it.
I don't know if that is what your beef is, but you clearly have some issue about it.
An the issue cant be the effectiveness of my product either.
Mine is not a fad diet, its NUTRITION....and its working.
I can try to tell people to skip the drive thru, eat veggies and fruit all day, but do you think I'll get far with that? If I said I wanted those people to live like that for 90 days, how many do you think would do it? 1%? Maybe.
Now how about you tell those same people that they can get the nutrition needed from drinking a shake mix that literally tastes like cake mix, AND actually saves money. Too good to be true so must be a scam.
"Scams" take your money, promise you a big return, and walk away with your cash without ever giving you jack.
We give people a product that works.
Over 90,000 new people joined last month alone. double digit, compounding growth over 21 straight months and we are THE biggest home based health challenge in all of North America.
Show me a stock on the market that has growth like this:
I have zero experience. That post you quoted above is old, so lemme update.
I now make $3000-$5000/month for promoting this. $3200 YESTERDAY alone. That will go up to $5000-$8000 next month. All I do is introduce people to the Challenge and help people lose weight.
Still have the BMW in my garage, but now have 10 people "under" me who have one too instead of 6. Just yesterday had a friend in Sask post about how he is now down 68 pounds after 4 months. Have HUNDREDS of others who we have helped lose weight, transform their lives, and thank me later. You are right....the MUST be a scam!!!
We don't inject people with hormones.
We don't sell people overpriced meal plans (face is, at $1.87/serving, people SAVE money doing this). Have you seen what Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and the like charge? Highway freaking robbery.
What I "pimp" is to challenge people to make a lifestyle change for 90 days.
Your post shows complete ignorance and a lack of education to the subject.
Plain and simple.
Back to the purpose of this thread...and I dont care if you join my company or not. Just do some research and stay away from HCG

But Jon, I contacted you and not only did I get fatter, I got fatterer!

....
This is funny. Yours must be the first company in the history of the world to get free endorsements from celebrities. Also, for that third sentence, celebrities absolutely endorse scams. I would say they routinely endorse scams even.
This kind of reminds me of that power bracelet thread where the company ended up going bankrupt pretty quick after the smart minds at Calgarypuck ripped it apart. My scientific evidence tells me that Calgarypuck has the power to bring down companies because clearly causation equals correlation.
I walk maybe 30-45 minutes a day, and its made a difference in how I have felt these last 7 months, so its definitely worth it.
Good for you - it is the small changes that are the hardest to make a lot of the time and the ones that are not congratulated often enough.
Keep it up your body will thank you for it, now and for years to come!
Edit: As for the fad diets, they may be effective for weight loss, but they are not effective for health, which is what people should strive for. 500 calories a day sounds closer to anorexia nervosa than it does a diet plan. There are so many aspects of weight loss that are not touched on by diet alone, like the correlation between anxiety disorders and obesity. If you want someone to lead a healthier life, it starts with the head and works downwards.
A healthy mind and a healthy body isn't found in a pill, a bottle (even if it is filled with expensive exotic fruit juice) or a surgery, it is living a life with contentment, optimism and hope for the future.

It looks like you're all jumping all over the OP for something he was promoting in a different thread.
He was simply posting a link to an article on the unhealthy affects of HGC diet. I don't see any promoting of pyramid or MLM scams here, until it was brought up by other people.
