Many a newbie slain by the vitriolic yet entertaining stylings of this long-time CalgaryPuck legend.

I knew he re-upped for another tour of oilfield duty in far-off China, and that he was quite a prominent player in the CPHL at one time, but maybe when I was absent from here I missed something.

Man, that guy was old skool. The closest approximation to board cantankery these days is Lanny MacDonald, whose stylings are a mite bit more eloquent, but still sadly lack the "cut to the chase" irracibility of JohnnyFlame. He was Fart-tastic! And hey, I rumbled many a time with him.

Anyone?

Ididn't see Johnny around on the main board much from January 2004 on, let alone the playoffs.

The old guy had nothing to complain about..the Sutter style hockey, the non prima donna attitudes, the success on the ice.

Could all have been at peace with JF?!?!??!?!?!!!!1
