FROM TMZ

http://www.tmz.com/

We've just learned Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Los Angeles ... and we're told it was cardiac arrest and that paramedics administered CPR in the ambulance.

He was picked up at his home around 20 minutes ago -- we're told his mother is on the way to visit him.

UPDATE: The 911 call came in at 12:21PM at his Holmby Hills home in L.A.

UPDATE: A Jackson family member tells TMZ Michael is in "really bad shape" and the brothers are headed to UCLA.

UPDATE: We just got off the phone with Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who says "he is not doing well."

Tabernac!!! My hero is sick...

P.S. I'm surprised he's back living in the USA. I thought he was still hiding out somewhere in Japan or France or somewhere else.

He probably came home to a phone message from Macaulay Culkin.

I was just about to post this as well. They are saying that it isn't looking good at all and he might not make it.

I think he such a creepo but I hope he pulls through. His concert back in the day was one of the best ever.

Sad day with this and Farrah Fawcett passing away from cancer.

Which part? I think he ranges from like 2 years to 45 years with all the surgery.

If you see a black man go that pale, you have to think he's gonna die eventually.

What the heck does TMZ stand for anyway?

Thirty Mile Zone. I believe that is the area of 'action' for celeb stuff around Hollywood.

Report: Michael Jackson rushed to hospital

Updated Thu. Jun. 25 2009 5:35 PM ET

Paramedics have rushed Michael Jackson to a Los Angeles hospital after performing CPR on the pop star, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.
A fire department official said Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived at the singer's rented Bel Air home around 12:30 p.m.
Jackson, 50, is reportedly being treated at UCLA Medical Center. His father, Joe Jackson, told the website TMZ he is in "really bad shape."
If confirmed, the medical emergency comes as Jackson prepares for a major come-back. He is scheduled to perform 50 shows in London's O2 Arena, with the financial backing of two billionaires.
In recent years, Jackson has been the subject of endless tabloid headlines and financial difficulties. If his London shows prove successful, he's expected to embark on a world-wide tour.
