Default Infinite Cables - Alternative to Monoprice

A while ago I posted a thread asking what happened to Monoprice, and in it I found a different site that sells cables. I gave them a try and just wanted to post how it went.

The site is http://www.infinitecables.com/

They seem to be the online seller for http://www.phantomcables.com as all the cables I got were in bags from that manufacturer. They say they are a Canadian manufacturer.

I ordered 1 10' and 2 15' dual link DVI cables, as well as 4 6' AA USB extension cables.

Total for those was $42.55 USD from Monoprice. From Infinite Cables the total was $48.45.

Shipping from Monoprice was $33.53 USPS Priority International, the cheapest available (the cheaper USPS option goes away at 5lbs of heavier) that wasn't UPS (to avoid brokerage fees).

Shipping from Infinite Cables was $10.70 for 4-5 day ground, the cheapest available, and it ended up being Purolator.

So total from Infinite Cables was $62.11 CDN and the total from Monoprice would have been $76.08.

The quality of the cables is great, no complaints there.

Looking at other prices, some are good, some are not so good (Monoprices HDMI cable prices are way lower), but some are even cheaper at Infinite Cables.

So overall a positive review and a legitimate alternative to Monoprice, especially if your order gets heavy enough to go over 5 pounds and the cheaper USPS shipping option goes away. But not a replacement for Monoprice since some cables are still significantly cheaper from there, and Monoprices selection seems larger and more diverse.

Are you still liking these cables after using them for a while? It's time for me to make another cable order so I will probably give Infinite a try ...

Just wanted to bump this thread as a heads up for people.

I needed a new TV wall mount and didn't feel like paying the $60+ shipping charges from monoprice. I remembered photon posting this up and checked out Infinite Cables for their mounts. Found a really nice mount that was more expensive, but the shipping was only $16 so it actually worked out cheaper.

The big bonus was the mount only took 2 days to get to me which was amazing - and the mount works great.

Thanks photon for posting this a year and a half ago.

Did they ship from Canada, or the US? Just thinking the customs might make a difference as well.

They are in Markham, ON so no worries about customs.
