Default Something simpler than Quickbooks Pro...

Any suggestions for a more simple software solution. I looked at Quickbooks pro but its seems to be a bit more than I really need @ $199.00. Its not the money as much as it just seems bloated for my purposes... I'm consulting now, so I have maybe 2-3 customers a year, my only "product" is me and my only employee is me. I am going to use a accountant so really all I need is a tool for book keeping as I suck at this and I'm not really even sure where to begin... Also I'm behind so I need to back enter everything over the past year, so maybe a way to download my transactions from my bank or credit cards would be handy... QB does that apparently...

:/ I'm not sure if there really is a better option... but thought I'd ask here before buying quickbooks... (I'm not doing it on Excel... I need something that will offer some guidance)

Thanks in advance guys.

May not be right for you, but we're using Freshbooks, based out of Toronto and it's fantastic. Love it.

I use Quickbooks Easy Start. Allows up to 25 customers and is much cheaper than quickbooks pro.

I use it and I know a few other contractors that use it too.

That they have access to the online banking info means something to me, I assume that banks do some sort of vetting to give access to their APIs.
