Default LF: Logo design

Just started my own business. Looking for a wordmark & logo design for cheap. Doesn't have to be anything special, just would like a few different options to chose from, then tweak it from there.

Not sure what the going rate would be for someone to design this for me, but PM me your price (closer to 0 the better... but willing to pay. Again, not sure standard rate so be nice).

PM me and we can get talking about the company name/ what we do.

Not sure what you're looking to spend, but this might be a cool option:

bump.

I think someone PM'd me but I can't find it now.

I have a basic logo design that I'd like updated/cleaned up. I am going to get some business cards, some stationary, and some vehicle window deals made up. So I guess, I need the image to be scalable.

Anyone willing to make an offer on the work? I can't see it taking much more than an hour for someone who knows what they are doing.

For $149 this company does logos. http://thelogocompany.net/logo-design.htm

I've used them a few times and have always been happy with the results. For an additional fee, they'll also do business cards, stationary, etc.

Good to know...you have a bad experience?

I saw Esquire magazine had used them along with some big logo companies in one issue where they were looking at logo options.

I've used 99designs a few times now and have been super pleased with all the logos we got. The key though is you HAVE to stay up on all the revisions, giving comments etc, otherwise your results will be crap. I was replying to designs at least twice a day, if not more.

I can probably send you a link to the contests we held if you want to send me a pm.

No, I've never used them nor will I. I'll also probably never open up a sweatshop or own any slaves.

The reason that 99designs is successful is that they've tapped the starving designer market. Half of the problem is that there are so many moderately talented designers that are having trouble finding work, so they resort to doing work on speculation, hoping their work is chosen by a client that knows nothing about design so they can actually get paid. The other half of the problem is that there are organizations like 99designs (and their customers) that have no qualms about exploiting them.

From my experience, if you do a classy looking logo, you tend to get more work. My father was a professional carpet cleaner when I was growing up, and his logo was designed by my mother who was a graphic artist and did a very clean lined classy job and for a long time his business was extremely good.
