Since some of you ride bikes, know people that ride bikes, have kids that ride bikes or one day plan to have kids that will ride bikes I figured I'd reach out to the CP community to try and help this become a reality.
A group of very dedicated members from the local community have been working on bringing Calgary a Mountain Bike Skills Park for the last decade. They have finally secured some land, which like other things in this city that are not designer bridges took way too long, and are now looking for funding to help complete the project.
I know I spent countless hours as a kid looking for empty lots to dig jumps only to get them plowed a few days later. Would be nice for the kids to have a safe quality place to ride like every other Canadian city or town...
You gotta register? Ah man...I hate that but I love a jihad and my nephew is a huge Mountain bike rider so I'm down.

This is the kind of thing I feel is really worthy of a good jihad (not that the jihadn't isn't great). Something that will benefit a whole lot of people in the community and add to the city. Also, I really wish there was something like that where I live.
