Battlefield 3/ Windows 7
So my son runs out and buys Battlefield 3. Comes home and finds out maybe he should check things out first. Needs Windows 7 to work.
I'd send him back with it to the store but probably about time I updated anyway.
Question is --- Upgrade one of my XP machines(probably my HP) to Windows 7 or buy a computer.
How much hassle is it to upgrade?
How much outlay for a machine that has Windows 7 and can play BF3 and other current/on the way games?
Thanks for any input.

If your PC came with XP - chances are it's old enough to not run BF3 very well.
A fresh system is always easier, and more fun, than upgrading. You could probably spend $700 and have a system that can run BF3 very nicely.

The new goggles also do nothing.

Or just get a console, lots cheaper if playing BF3 is the only goal.
