iPhone back face plates in Calgary...
I had my backside of my iPhone smash pretty bad. Ordered a replacement online since apple wants 100 for the job and it takes 2 seconds.
The part that showed up is not the right part and I'm to impatient to wait for another.
I have a friend who paid $60 for a back case in red deer at a little kiosk. Does anyone know anywhere other than apple in Calgary that has replacements for under $100?
This might be useful for a few others as I see more and more smashed iPhones these days!!!

There's a repair store by the Sirocco bus terminal off 17th Ave and Sarcee Tr. SW. I don't know how much they charge, but it's worth giving them a call to find out!
It's in that little plaza with the Sunterra, Subway, Misato, Shillelagh's, etc.,

If that doesn't pan out, I have had nothing but good experiences with iPhix in Eau Claire market. (iphix.ca). Have had a iPod and iPad repaired by them, quick service and good work.

Tell them "Dirty Sanchez" sent you and you'll get 20% off. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but it will work.

Yeah, another big thumbs up to iphix. My wife and I both had our iphones die within a couple hours of one another (I dropped mine in a puddle). They fixed them both and had them back to us in less than 24 hours, and gave mine a good cleaning as well, fixing some dead pixels that had been appearing on the screen (a problem that the Apple Store told me would cost $100 to fix), and gave us a 5% discount for bringing in 2 at once.

iPhix is great. You can also carry out most iphone repairs yourself by googling and saving a bit of money but sometimes it's not worth the time and effort and inexperience breaking something else yourself. iPhix will also have parts in stock and can get repairs done right away while you would have to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery of parts if you want to do it yourself (which can be wrong like you experienced).

Replacing the back plate is super easy, just go check out ifixit.com. They have both the standard back plate as well as a clear one. They also sell the pentalobe screwdriver if you've either taken your phone in for repairs before (like me) or you have one they sold with them. The clear one is cheaper than the standard back plate. I'm thinking about replacing mine since my camera lens keeps getting messed up. I'm also likely going to take my phone to iPhix to get my lock button fixed since Apple wants me to pay $169 to replace my phone entirely, and iPhix can do it for $90.
The pentalobe screws look like a torx screw, but they aren't quite, so ifixit made a screw driver to let people get into the phone if they want to.
