Good read here about how the indigenous people will lose all their native lands and how much damage to the rainforest and the species that live there will be, all in the name of making a buck. Very sad.

I wish I could go to that. Wade Davis is an excellent and inspiring speaker.

His (later) anthropological writings are some of my favourite.

I must have missed the part about the damage to the rain forest.

But I just skimmed the article. I don't know the details, but a lot of dam projects have gone on to benefit natural life around the area.
