someone's making a movie of one of my favourite books?

dare to dream, like that "ender's game" movie that supposedly is coming.

personally i think though, as movies made for mass consumption, that pre-star wars sci fi - made from books or not - was very brave and big on the social commentary.

movies like:

"illustrated man"
"silent running"
"logan's run"

were thought provoking, intelligent, and not as dependent on special effects.

we'll see is suppose...

but i should say i really liked "starship troopers", especially because it wasn't too close to the book.

maybe someone could do "forever war" by joe haldeman, that i think would make a slick movie if done in a more classic sci-fi (story driven) style.
