Why did you get pulled over in the first place? Obviously the cop noticed something.

What did you actually blow? Under 0.1 they might not go through with the charges.

Yep, definitly give Pointts a call. They're the best option in Calgary. But be prepared to pay through the ass.

A guy I work with has his 1 year suspension ending soon. He was bombed, rolled and burnt his car.

Just out of curiosity, what was the time frame of those 3 drinks?

If the history of threads on Calgarypuck is any indication, nobody else has ever done anything wrong in their own lives, and nothing less than a public hanging is sufficient punishment for your unspeakable crime.

In my opinion the best thing you can do is accept the punishment, be glad you didn't hurt anyone, and never do it again.

About few years ago I went through a Checkstop after drinking 3 beers over around 3 hours. I didn't lie to the officer and he replied "Well it's probably out of your system by now, have a good night."
It was the scariest 30 seconds of my life and since then I've always found alternatives to get home now, even if I'm not drinking much.

What kind of drinks were they?
You shouldnt blow over on 3 drinks. I assume that you would have had those drinks over an hour plus between when you blow your first and second sample should be about 20 minutes. If your drinks were actually beer equivalents then even a small person shouldnt be over .08

Yup. His car was recently new too, so he's continuing to make payments for something like 3 or 4 more years on a car that doesn't exist. Ouch.

The terrible reality that you are "one of those people" is the worst feeling. I understand what I did was wrong and am prepared to take my lumps as I deserve it.
My question is for anyone else who has gone through this...
What kind of penalties did you receive?
What was your blood/alcohol level?

Not trying to be a ######, but you're either a midget, your three drinks were pitchers, or you shotgunned three drinks.

Friend forgot his wallet at the house we were just at (literally 5 houses away). Did an illegal u-turn.

Just under 2 hours. 1 beer, 2 mixed "house" drinks.
