Worst actors/actresses today.
So from the 2.5 men thread...
Mr Demi Moore is a pretty bad actor but NO ONE can touch Hayden Christiansen. Holy crap how does he get roles?
Shia Ledouce is top 5.
Beaver Keanu. woahhh.
Michelle Rodriguez is the worst female actor to ever hit the screen period.

I agree with a poster in that Two and Half Men thread in voting Paul Walker as this generation's worst actor.

The sad thing is that Hayden Christiansen did an outstanding job in Life as a House and the Virgin suicides.
I'd like to add Megan Fox who is dreadful awful terrible.
Sharon Stone and Jessica Alba are just bloody awful, they're acting skills represent the worst acting perfomrances since porn was invented.
Sarah Jessica Parker is terrible, but I hear they're doing a remake of Mr Ed, so she'll probably win an oscar for that portrayal.

In terms of dudes.
John Travolta is just not good.
Robert Pattison and the cast of Twilight are terrible.
Tom Green just needs to stop
Will Ferrell is terrible and news flash, he plays the same guy in every role and its not a funny guy
Nick Cage and Al PAcino have been mailing it in for over a decade.

Yeah, he's not a bad actor; George Lucas is a bad screenwriter and notoriously awful at giving direction to actors.

I kinda disagree with you on the Kevin Costner thing, and kinda agree
But I thought he did an amazing job in Dances with Wolves, Field of Dreams and the Love of the game (Even though Kelly Preston kept my attention through that movie"
I even thought he was decent in the Postman.

I think Don Cheadle is overrated, outside of Hotel Rwanda. Every time I see him I just can't get over his deadpan delivery. It would be funny if it was intentional, but its not.
Just remembered that I loathe Michael Cera as well. He should have been done after Arrested Development.

I'm kinda fuzzy, but I thought the dialogue in American Graffiti was pretty decent.

Will Ferrell and Phil Hartman (Martin Short and John Candy too) might be the greatest sketch comics of all time. This does not necessarily translate to the big screen.
"Billy" on Melrose Place was a horrible actor - same expression for every emotion.

How does a thread get this far without a mention of Nicholas Cage?
For every Leaving Las Vegas, there's a Snake Eyes
For every Adaptation, there's 8 mm
For everything even close to good, there's the steaming pile of turds that was the Wicker Man (I want him punished for even thinking of remaking the original, let alone butchering it so badly).

Basically the entire cast of Twilight. I made it 20 minutes into the first movie, not having read the books, and turn it off because I just couldn't sit through another horribly acted minute.

I'm paraphrasing this a bit, but there's a famous quote from Harrison Ford on the set of Star Wars telling Lucas, "George, you can write this %#$, but you sure can't say it."
Sadly, Lucas only became a worse writer as he aged. Remember Anakin's cringe-worthy line about sand in Episode II?

Jason Segel - painful.
Nicolas Cage - Just about as bad, although he might not fit into the "today" category
