Google Apps/Calender syncing to Outlook Calender

Anyone here using Google Apps, and syncing up their calender to Outlook? I've had numerous problems syncing Outlook calenders to my Google Calender, most notably the shared calenders, so I'm wondering if there are similar problems the other way around.

Looking to possibly switch over to Google Apps, as our Exchange Server is nearing the end of its tenure, and the inability to sync calenders properly has me a bit worried.

I used the Google Calendar Sync program, which seems to work well. What sort of specific issues are you having?

I used that as well, and I had issues syncing shared outlook calenders. A different user on our network runs a calender for bookings, and I have access to it through the share calender feature on Outlook. But whenever I use the Google Calender Sync program to sync my Outlook calender, which includes the shared calender from another user, it won't properly sync up that shared calender.

Google has acknowledged the issue, but I don't think they have fixed it. I last checked a couple months ago.

Now that we're looking to upgrade our 'exchange' server, we're a bit worried that syncing Google Calenders with Outlook will create a similar problem.
