I can see it honestly. The system runs for about $30-50, and if it's mint condition then $50 makes sense. If, and I mean IF, the controllers are actually in mint condition (ie. control sticks aren't loose and registering well which is a common problem with use), then 4 of them are worth $50-60.
Finally, Ogre Battle 64 is a pretty rare game, so I bet it goes for $20-30 on its own. Add it all together and you're looking at close to $150 right there. It might be high, but it's close.

Plus, N64 is hitting the age where it is becoming more collectable/nostalgic instead of simply being out of date.

I've looked at getting an N64 again just for Goldeneye. With that game list it's a pretty reasonable price, and well below what you'd pay at a used game store.
Also, in reference to the cheaper 360's comments. Rogers/Telus/Bell never gave away 64's, flooding the used market, nor did you see a ton of refurbed RROD models.
The 64 is definately hitting 'retro kitsch' age which carries a premium. The 360 is not.

The N64 is Retro? Clearly I'm older than I thought.

hahaha I hear you. I was looking for one to relive some college memories. If you'll excuse me I'm going to sit on the porch in my rocker.
@FCAV - do you have the expansion pack for it as well? What colour is the console/controllers?

Go play Golden Eye and let us know what you think. It was completely awesome back in the day, but it's barely playable compared to today's FPSs.

Looks like there's an expansion pack in the memory slot, if it indeed is like the picture on wikipedia suggests! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintend...#Expansion_Pak
One controller pack as well.
Two of the controllers are the standard light grey, one blue and one grey/black. Console is that standard dark grey/black colour.

I never said it was good, just that it was rare. Regardless of quality, the less copies of a game the more likely they maintain some value over time.

For those curious, the system went out the door at $110.

Was it like an episode of Pawn Stars?
Are you looking to pawn it or sell it?
Sell it.
How much were you looking to get?
I think about a hundred fifty.
Well, I can tell you right now, that's not going to happen. I mean, I really like this unit, and it reminds me of when I was a teenager... Heck, Goldeneye, Wayne Gretzky's Hockey, and Mariokart were three of my favorite games, but I just can't do 150. Who knows how long it's going to sit on the shelf? This is a specialty item, as most people are playing their Playstations and their XBoxes. Tell you what... I can give you 80 for it.
How about 130?
100 and not a penny more.
So you can't do 120? I was really hoping to get more.
Tell you what... I really llike this thing, and I haven't seen one in awhile, especially in this kind of condition, so I'll split the difference. $110.
I'll take it.

4x4, you forgot the part where he admits he doesn't know a lot about a Nintendo 64 w/5 games and 4 controllers, but he knows a Nintendo 64 w/5 games and 4 controllers expert and he gave him a call.
