Default Blu-ray Burners. Anyone have one?

I see that the price is down to $89.99 at Mem xpress.

Does anyone have one? What is the cheapest place to get bluray media from? i think the cheapest they have at mem is like $1.80 a disc.

Also is it easy to back up my purchased blu ray movies? hehe

I think for the time and money you'd have to invest in ripping and burning your Blu-Rays you'd be much better off downloading rips, and watching them on some kind of media streamer. For the price of 50 blank Blu-ray discs you could buy an Apple TV or WDLive box.

And if you're thinking about using them to backup data, a hard drive will be cheaper and quicker.

I would only consider a blu ray burner for optical backups of files, not for holding movies. There are much easier ways to do that.

Yeah. thats what i'm going to use it mostly for. All my kid's cam videos. I have had 2 externals crap out on me the past 6 months including a western digital. i can't trust them.

also i bought a huge collection of blu rays including a lot of tv box sets. save some bandwidth along the way.
