Go Rob and Ambah! Rob because he's the best reality player ever, and Amber because she's just so gosh darn hot!
but I'll second the above comment.

Arg, this non elimination leg garbage has to go. As well, as the 'open at 7am' crap. Whats the point of evening up all the teams!?! Not much of a race. It was worse last season I thought but I cant believe they would pull both out in the finale.

I think the fix was in on the airplane thing. I've never been able to convince an airline to re-engage the walk way once it pulls away from the plane.
I'm not too put off by the winning team as they seemed to be a nice couple, who wanted kids, and they never gave up even though they were hours behind.
I give full credit to Rob and Ambuh, they worked together extremely well, and only made three mistakes in the whole race. the last one costing them badly.
I still really strongly dislike Alex and Lynn tho.

It seemed to be a little fixed especailly when the pilot let them on the plane after they had closed off the flight. I would have liked to have seen Rob and Amber win, he was funny all through this season. When they broke the news about Uchena and his wife winning about a month ago it kind of ruined it even though they said it wasn't true.

I couldn't believe how crappy they were with the tee shots, hell I could hit the green from 135 yards with my freaking wedge at a half swing and these guys were all blazing away.
I mean lets be honest, Rob and Amber cut so many corners on the flight times they could have arrived a week early, but it they can't name the series the amazing asskicking can they?
Hey I'm pitching that idea to Mark Burnett.
Speaking of asskickings, how about the two punch knockout in the contendor, I've really started to watch middle weight boxing again after seeing that show.

Man, I really hate the non-elimination rounds. What's the point? You finished last, you should be gone. Hope they get rid of that next time.
I like the couple that won, but the plane thing was really weak, and Rob and Amber were the only team out of the final 3 never to finish last. Even tonight, they never finished last. They were probably more deserving winners, but I'm OK with it............I was just happy Ron & Kelly didn't win. Too much bickering, and too much military talk.
Ron: You were in the army and in Iraq..................we get it.

God I hated the gay couple. Did anyone else see them at the end doing the little hands waving in the air dance when the black couple came in. I must have just caused some serious damage to myself by laughing way too hard.

Sweet. I was hoping anybody but those media whores Romber would win. You may feel like you're #1 now Rob, but wait until that money runs out, and Ambuh ditches you like yesterday's news.
Then again, I'm sure CBS paid them a hefty "appearance fee" so they'll still pocket something from this.
Bunching at least keeps it close, and makes for good TV. Anybody that doesn't agree should look at NASCAR ratings (and their generous yellow flags) vs F1 ratings in the US as to what the general public prefers.
Got to give Uchenna credit, that man is level steady... takes it as it comes and always maintains a good attitude.

Speaking of which, anyone else gonna watch the Rob and Amber wedding? They had a preview of it right after the finale. I'm most certainly will not.
Congrats to Uchenna and Joyce!!! Nice couples finish first woot!!

Well I enjoy The Amazing Race the "bunching up" of teams sucks.
I don't know if anyone else recalls this but when ABC premiered The Amazing Race for its first season, NBC put on a program called "Lost". The premise of the show was they dropped 3 teams out in the middle of nowhere - didn't even tell the them where they were (happened to be somewhere in Mongolia). Object of the game was to be the first team to get to the Statue of Liberty. Flights no paid for. Little bit of starting money (like 100 bucks) that's it.
It was a fantastic show. Teams started together but ended up all over the place. One team ended up in Moscow where they gave up. The other two teams made it to NY but the winning team was literally weeks ahead of the other one IIRC.
The show was brilliant in its simplicity but got its arse kicked in the ratings which was too bad as I thought it was superior to T.A.R.

Nice analogy! Nice to see there are some people out there who appreciate auto racing for what it is and aren't fooled by a completely manufacturered product (ie. NASCAR and IRL).
Back on topic...I agree the airplane bit was fixed but I'm glad Uchenna and Joyce won it. They played the game well and at the end of it all still seemed to be genuinely nice people.

Well another year done.
I really do dislike the Equalizers they put in there.
Rob and Amber raced very well and were out in from and looking good. Cue the equalizer. The winning team had to spend hours getting enough cash and where way behind. But never fear they are given these hours back becuse of these equalizers. ITs the one aspect of the race I really dislike. Its a race if you behind you should have to suffer.
The plan thing was hockey as well. I mean if its closed then its closed!!! What happened to airport security for petes sake. Rob and amber were skrewed there yet again....
Based on how the ran the race Rob and Amber deserved to win. They were the best racers period.
I am ok with the winning team though. They were my 2nd choice. They were very supportive of each other and a great team overall.
Just glad Ron and Kelly did not win. They were soooo annoying..
Good on Ron for not commiting to her. What a Drama queen she is... He is no prize either though....

I can understand the equalizers along the way as you do not want a team 3 or 4 days ahead of everyone else due to production problems and well it would be boring the last half of the race. However, if one team is 7 fataing hours ahead of another team on the last fataing leg...time they gained on that trailing team in only that leg it should not be equalized like that. Think of it, they worked hard to keep ahead of Uchenna and Joyce (as did Ron and Kelly) so that it was U&J that lost all their money etc. The whole point of losing the money is to make it difficult for the team the next leg which it did until the closed for 16 hour bridge jump that allowed the handicapped team to, in effect, not be handicapped at all. That was a joke.

Lets not forget, if it weren't for that flat tire, Romber would be the ones running around begging for money.
I suspect that when the airlines knew that "The Amazing Race" was filming, they try and come across as super accomodating. Wasn't a fix for U/J particularly, but moreso a PR move in general.
I think it was a bad move to have the ending 2 legs in north America, where TAR is well known. (although the finale is always in the US). Undoubtely spoilers came from one of the 220+ passengers on that 747 who recall seeing Romber and a black couple boarding the plan. Should have sent them to Miami via Paraguay or something.

I think the plane thing was a huge fix. The producers didn't want Rob and Amber to win because people would be p*ssed to see them win another million dollars. However, they were a huge reason for people watching the show this year so they made sure they were in every single show right until the end.
Regardless of any fixes I still Love that show.
It appeared that Uchenna's good karma won out over Rob's bad karma.
I wonder if Uchenna is really that honorable to stick around and beg for money to pay the cabbie. I mean I would have told the guy I was about to collect a million dollars and I would mail him a cheque for $1000. To me that seemed like another fix or at least some creative editing. I think they wanted to get poeple on Uchenna and Joyce's side before they won.
Or maybe I am wrong and all that is real, just seems way to Hollywood happy ending to me.
