Why are N.E businesses continually worse than other businesses?

This probably could have went into the GMG thread, but I'm just sick of getting crappy service at N.E businesses.

I live in the dirty N.E/S.E and if I want good customer service and a job well done I have to drive to the N.W and S.W to get it.

Today I went to Cloverdale paints in the N.E and the guy couldn't even bother to look for a color I needed at a freakin PAINT store where that is your damn job. It was an old color, but a little searching in his old colour books and he would have found it, but no he wanted me to go and chip a piece of my house so he could match it and I could re-paint the exterior. So I decided to leave that store and drove all the way to the SW and within 2 minutes the guy happily searched and found both old colors.

And this isn't just something new that I found out today. Anytime I need to do anything whether it is fixing my car or even go shopping the customer service in the N.E sucks balls. I actually drive to the other side of the city to get any work done at the Nissan dealership because having the N.E one actually answer their damn phones is a miracle let alone give you good service.

EFF you N.E and your crappily run businesses. Crappily isn't a word but who cares. If I could personally fire your asses for being incompetent ######s I would.

Actually the color is only about 8 years old, but Cloverdale bought out Rodda and that's where the original color was from.

It isn't a NE/SE Calgary thing in my opinion - it is Canada as a whole. Service here sucks.

I believe the NE has lower rent and lower land value hence the lower common denominator businesses flock there.

I recently needed an relatively expensive repair done on my vehicle and live in the SW. Tried a business on 17th Ave and approx 33rd st SW.
Estimate was $440. I said wow thats expensive, they shrugged and said it was an expensive part.

A mechanic friend told me the part is $210 his cost.

A NE business quoted me $295.

Of course I then went to then back to the SW shop cause the NE sucks.

Not all of the SE is hood. Just the northny section where it merges into the NE.
