Default Great speeches that inspire you

I thought it would be neat to have a thread with some of the speeches that you've either heard as they happened, or picked up from history that were amazing, inspiring and made a dent in both history and your personal history.

There are three that come to mind

John F Kennedy "We choose to go to the moon"

Martin Luther King "I have a dream"

Winston Churchill "We shall never surrender"

I've never started this thing, without watching it all. It's amazing.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Stop living for tomorrow and live life like it was your last day on earth. A few deaths in my family unit taught me this.

Hmm, how do we do that in today's society? I mean many are currently living under the immediate self gratifying, self serving mentality. I think too many people are thinking someone will take care of them in the future. Currently, the way we as a society are built, think too much about the present and completely forget about the future. I get the message, but I see it completely different from you.

The current system does not work.

Don't be a sheep that blindly follows what society does. Just because everyone is racking up huge debts to support thier materialistic/I want it now lifestyle doesn't mean you have to live that way. You can save for your retirement and still enjoy life.

Of course, but that is just how I see it quote as it is speaking to the reader. Common sense lives here in your post, but schools teach how to do what you are told, not how to think for yourself... So In that quote (while I believe it as well) someone might take it for **** tomorrow. I just think the message has been lost under the corporate buy now mentality. However, I'm 4 beers deep right now so I will digress.

Everyone see our beloved Christian Bale in the movie? Looked like he was eying the lighting grip in that scene...
