It's the end of August meaning it is time to kick into high gear to get ready for a new CPHL season.

A few things:
- A new roster file has been posted. You can view the updated rosters by clicking on "Ratings" on your main page.
- You can also download the new roster file to use in the GM editor. But you will have to download the latest version of the GM editor to view our updated file. This should be done anyways to make sure you can get it to work. You can download it via this link: http://sths.simont.info/DownloadFile...ient-2-0-7.zip

What you need to do:
- I need each and every team to go through their teams in the sim and identify any mistakes. With over 500 off-season transactions there WILL be mistakes. Moreover, when we upload the new ratings in the off-season player position often get changed.

So each team needs to email cphltrade@yahoo.com a list of all corrections that need to be made. This MUST include
- List of all players that need to be added
- List of all players that need to be deleted
- List of any players who needs to have their position changed to match what is on your GM page on the site

We are not yet allowing position changes. The purpose of this process is to have your team in the sim MATCH exactly what is on the site. Position changes that you want to make will come next.

The dealdline for your email is next Monday 11:59 PM MST. Teams that miss this deadline risk getting fined severely or worse yet - fired.

In addition the deadline to sign any ECHL players who have no years left in the ECHL is also Monday 11:59 PM MST. You can sign those players via the link on your main GM page.

I should add you need to check both your AHL and CPHL squads.

I tried downloading the roster file from the main roster page, and it's the old playoff one.

Is it just me?

Try cleaning your cache and get rid of the old GM editor and roster files before starting. That should do the trick, start with a clean folder.

Flames roster is complete, no errors on Farm or CPHL squad.

do rosters need to be watchdog compliant at this deadline?

I have a handful of AHL players listed on my CPHL roster. Are you concerned about this or should i just ignore them?

Nope - that will be a different deadline, yet to be announced. It is coming up soon though.

GMs can move players up and down in the sim themselves - once the season begins GMs should make sure that players are in the correct league.

Please note this is an important item, seen quite a few players in AHL playing on CPHL or vice versa. SIM Roster must match the Website....

Last season, I was obsessing over this on my team to make sure the right players were on the right team.
I am wondering what the penalty is for this not being updated and correct to match the website?

The issue is if you don't have players on the right team - the sim will plug them in. So AHL guys could skate in the CPHL vice versa.

To be blunt - it is cheating - even if it isn't intentional.

It is a difficult thing to control - which is why we need our GMs to really focus on this and take responsibility for their lineups.

In terms of penalties - if it is a ongoing problem with a certain GM they will be turfed.
