Can't you purchase one directly from UofC? I'm going into my first year at UofC, so I'm not sure, but planning on getting one. UofA gave you the pass if you paid for it with the tuition fee.

If your not a current student they don't allow you to purchase a UPass, IIRC.

And yes, they are included in your tuition if you're a legit student. You can pick them up starting tomorrow in Mac Hall.

They are not free, they are ~$100 and only available to full time students (actually all full time students need to pay for one).

They aren't free but they are included in your tuition fee, so you're technically paying for it, even if you don't use it.

~$100 for a full semester is a steal of a deal when regular monthly passes are $90 now. When I started at the U of C I think the UPass was only about $60.

I agree, I wish I could still get one. I mean I probably can, but it involves signing up for 2 extra courses to get me to 3, going to get the UPass, explain why last time I got it I dropped 2 classes right afterwards and swear I didnt do it on purpose just to get the UPass, Paying the $110 for the last one I got, then dropping 2 classes right away.

same thing here, just take part time course, no upass for me

Yeah, I went and got the sticker and then dropped my courses afterward. That was the trick back in the day. I think now they wait until after the drop course deadline or need proof you're paid up or something.

I believe it's the non-refundable deposit you have to put down now that gets ya.

It sucks, I don't ever use mine but I can't sell it because no one wants a MRU one, everyone needs a UofC one.

It is so upsetting that I have to waste a $100 each semester on something I never use. 5 semesters to go, that's $500 down the drain.

What's the difference? Is it just a logo? I can't imagine too many transit police would notice that.
