Default Are you anticipating a major terrorist attack (or attempt) on the anniversary of 9/11

I hope I'm wrong but I'd avoid New York and London (for starters) for the next week or so.

Security will be ramped up, I doubt anything will happen there.

I'm sure a thread like this has been started every year since it happened, so I am going to bet on "No".

Why would the anniversary be any more likely than any other date?

I doubt it.

There will be too much security to make it worth the risk. Part of the "terror" of a terrorist attack is the randomness. Most of them are cowards that want to get unsuspecting people.

No, I don't think terror groups have much in the way of resources. Though, I wouldn't be all that surprised if something did happen.

Not a chance.

Its my birthday, so if they do this again on Sept 11, I will personally hunt them down.

Because the element of surprise would be heavily in effect.

on the contrary, with the anniversary on everyone in the public's mind, probably harder to surprise people. Easier to surprise people when they aren't thinking about it.

Normally I'd say no, but with Bin Laden being killed this year, I'd say possibly. I was planning a trip to New York this year around those dates and decided to move it to later in the year. Even if (hopefully) nothing happens, the security around the city and the airports will make travelling such a pain.

Definitely not. Nothing is going to happen.
Seriously, you have nothing to worry about, and it's totally safe to let your guard down...even if it's just for one second!

Certainly.

I also predict that an important person will die within 10 days of the anniversary.

No clue on location or how important.
