Default Need Ski Trip Cabin Suggestions...

So me and some friends plan a ski trip every Family Day long weekend and this year we want to change it up a bit. We've done it for 3 years in a row at Kimberly now and we think it's time for a change of scenery (plus for a 4-5 hour drive, the mountain isn't that great).

The group we go with is usually around 12-14 people but most of us don't mind sleeping on mattresses and the last 3 times we've been pretty comfortable in condos that sleep 8. The only thing is we're always really, really loud until the early hours and it's a freaking miracle that we haven't got any complaints on these trips yet.

So what I wanted to ask is if anyone had any good suggestions for cabins on a ski hill, (preferably ski in/ski out) that are relatively cheap (hopefully for less or around $1000 a night) and can fit 12-14 people, within a 4 hour drive? We want to switch to cabins instead of condos cause we don't want to have to worry about noise anymore.

I know this is a pretty specific ask but I thought I might as well give it a shot.

Fernie has on-hill chalets that go from $400-$1000 a night (we've jammed about 15 people into the $400 ones, but it is definitely very cramped).

Kicking Horse has some good ones, you can get cheap rates if you're willing to divide the group into two for some of the smaller townhouse chalets and just party in one, but their larger ones are extremely nice and can fit your budget (not the Vagabond Lodge however). Plus it's the best mountain within 4 hours IMO.

I know some people who go to Castle a lot who are in ski-in cabins but I have no ideas of rates, but I can't imagine they'd be too unreasonable there.

Only true ski in/ski outs in Pano are condos which we're trying to avoid.

I'll definitely look into Kicking Horse though.

I reset my password just to suggest you check out whitefish. Great mountain for skiing, enough night time fun up on the ski hill, plus a really great little party town for the evenings you want to take a cab into town. Plus, in comparison to Calgary and the surrounding areas everything seems like a great value (cheep booze!!).

I went to kicking horse with 18 people with a bed for each person...few queens and singles but everyone had a place to sleep
We booked with http://www.lushmountain.com/m/lush_m..._mountain.html

To be more specify the "Valhalla" http://www.lushmountain.com/m/lush_m..._valhalla.html

Very secluded.. the walk was short to the mountain about 5-10 minutes. We could ski back to the chalet but you have to know where your going...

It is a bit pricy though it was 1700/night for the week we went which was after family day..but worth the money
I'm sure you can fidn something similar since your group is a but smaller than mine

Kicking Horse looks like it has a lot of good deals actually. I'm definitely trying to steer the conversation there.

Whitefish is under discussion too. Only stumbling block is the border. If you know what I mean...

I guess that would work as long as the singles were also queens, then they could just pair up in the beds.
