How much of your paycheck do you save?
I'm just wondering... I've been working for a year, and I after the last thread about expenses, I was just wondering where I stack up compared to everyone.
In %... how much of your paycheck do you save? (including 401k / Canadian equiv, as apparently I've forgotten what the Canadian equiv is, includes money going into the stock market or mutual funds)

I currently save near 50% of my paycheck. I'm trying to buy a house for next year and I think it will be done by July next year if I stick to the plan.
I also save 5% of my annual salary (My employer matches 3% I think) to the RRSP.

Probably 75% after taxes. I love living with the parents! Now if I can control not eating out everyday, it'd probably be 90%.

Right now more than 50%, but typically 10-20%.

With the spelling, I'm guessing an American submitted this thread.
I probably save about 20% of my paycheque right now. Having a kid really threw us for a loop financially and we're just starting to get back to normal.

after paying my monthly biz expenses (lease payment, employee salaries, operating expenses, etc.) - i save every freakin' nickle!
my wife and i are hoping to have our house paid off in under 3 years which would put us totally debt free!!
...then start saving to purchase land, then build another house again!

somewhere between 50 and 75%
that will fall below 50% once I get an apartment (renting the parents basement)

I pretty much break even now that my wife is unemployed and I am on the hook for all the expenses and both of our student loan payments. Fortunately, i had money saved up before she lost her job, and breaking even is better than what is happening to a lot of other people we know.

Whatever's left at the end of the month I just put in the bank. It usually works out to 15-20%. Should probably be going into TFSA or RRSP's though.

Pretty much zero at the moment. I'm dumping most of my money into home renovations, but am doing most of the work myself to save money.

Had to google the word 'save' in reference to money.
Wife and three kids, one income= no save.
I do contribute %4.5 to my pension, but that is really a no brainer. I would love to be over 10% outside of that, but it will be a bit yet.

Currently I have 30% auto withdrawn into my savings account, but that'll change next month if I get the mortgage I applied for and me and my wife move. We spent the last year renting a place that was below are means so we could save for the down payment.
But once we move I'd expect it to be around the 20-25% mark.
