I wouldn't go so far to put it ahead of most XBLA games, unless you mean Indie games. It's well done, but it's still very "flash"-ish if you know what I mean. Disconnected head and arms from body, clunky floaty controls, does enough to look fancy with the graphics. There are better games like this on flash sites though!
