Default No Sim iPhone 4

I turned off my phone and turned it on, says no sim now. I pulled it out, put it back in, reset the network settings, turned on airplane mode and off, still same problem. What the heck happened, and how do I fix this?

Same thing happened to me at the Heritage Classic, was taking pictures and videos, then a couple hours later the phone said "No SIM", and I tried everything and it wouldn't work. I thought it might have been the cold, but anyway I had to go into Telus and get a new SIM card.

You'll have to do the same, go get a new SIM, should be free of charge.
