I did Shouldice Park to 22X a few years ago, I think it took ~7 hours.

4 hours if you go straight through. Longer if you stop at the swimming hole and Wildcat Island.

edit...I wouldn't go all the way down to Bowness if I were you. You will have to paddle across the Bearspaw Reservoir. It sucks in a raft.

We always called it Ant Island. Because of all the ants..

Anyways, the trip to cochrane is pretty short, depending on the time of day (water released from the dam makes it a bit quicker) I think anywhere around 3-4 hrs.

Default On a somewhat related note...

Did it in a canoe a whole bunch of times; if you can catch a good spill from Ghost dam, it makes for an "interesting" canoe ride...

I used to fly fish up there all the time and had the spills figured out...

Best time we ever did was about an hour and 45 minutes to the bridge at Cochrane...that was the one and only time we made it without swamping, while riding the surge.

Fiberglass canoe strongly recommended...you will hit "things" if you're riding the surge.

Never rafted it though...
