^^^ Some pretty good choices (Canada) there, but looked on the full list and not a single Tea Party album.
They were so underrated. Martin could play like 12 different instruments, their drummer was one of the best in the business, and for three guys they could make a ton of noise! Fusing world and symphonic sounds with industrial and electronic beats, albums with great poetry, they are one of my favorite Canadian bands if not the favorite.

The UK list should be interesting if only to see which (if any) bands other than The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, or Led Zeppelin crack the top 10.

^^^ Looks like whoever compiled that UK list tried purposely to be different or controversial.

It's funny to see Neil Young as the top Canadian artist, when his music helped define Americana.

Yup.
Bands like The Smiths, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, and Oasis all deserve their place in the pantheon of British rock, but there's no way any of their albums were better than a "Top 10" list created from the best of the four bands I mentioned in my previous post.

Up the Bracket in the top ten of UK albums is absurd, anyway you slice it. Same with Oasis/Arctic Monkeys being ahead of the Beatles.
If someone asked you for the ten best albums in UK history, and you gave them that top ten, you're basically punching them in the face.

Cannot agree more, Arctic Monkeys do not hold up against the big 4 Stones Albums:
Let it Bleed,
Beggars Banquet
Exile on Main Street
Sticky Fingers

While (supposedly, and I say this as I am not a Clash fan per say and don't find this album to be one of Strummer's stronger talent endorsements) London Calling is regarded as one of the best albums ever recorded, I have a hard time seeing it listed higher then a Beatles Album. Even a rather weak one like Revolver.
While it makes me happy to see so much Punk represented on this list, I can't ignore the sheer stupidity of the person writing this when you have NUMEROUS iconic British bands. The lack of Led Zepplin or The Rolling Stones makes it hard to believe. Even Elton John should be on here somewhere.

It's obviously a troll list where the author deliberately picked unorthodox choices to cause outrage and/or discussion (just like this one!).
Here's my attempt at a proper top 10 British albums list (in alphabetical order because I have no idea how to rank these):
1. The Beatles - The Beatles (aka the White Album)
2. The Beatles - Revolver
3. The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
4. Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
5. Led Zeppelin - Untitled (aka Led Zeppelin IV)
6. Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
7. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
8. Pink Floyd - The Wall
9. The Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet
10. The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
I contend each one of those deserves consideration when debating the top 10 albums from any country, not just restricted to bands from the UK.
And look at these masterpieces I had to leave off just to get down to 10:
Abbey Road
Led Zeppelin I, II, III
Wish You Were Here
One could make a very convincing argument that any one of those deserves a spot more than any of the albums I eventually picked.

My UK List would include (I don't include the Beatles as I know them more from singles than albums):
XTC: Nonesuch, Skylarking, Apple Venus Vol. 1
Queen: A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races
Rolling Stones: Exile On Main Street
Bowie: Ziggy Stardust
Led Zeppelin: IV, Houses Of The Holy
Radiohead: OK Computer, Pablo Honey
Big Country: The Crossing
Cure, Kate Bush, Cure, Clash, Big Audio Dynamite, Paul McCartney, Elton John, ELO, Pretenders, Stone Roses, Smiths, New Order, Joy Division, Jesus And Mary Chain, Elvis Costello, Pogues, Supergrass
