Are you sure they're not building a conference center?

Not sure if this is the right term, but it looks like an Asian style mall concept, where its made up of a bunch of small, box shaped stores. Kind of like Pacific Mall in Markham.

Sounds like a nice scam in the making. Not a peep mentioned anywhere on the MD of Rocky View site, but yet selling spaces in it? Hopefully people do their homework. What's the big building next to it? I feel like you are trolling us.

That's because it hasn't been released and I highly doubt a very well known real estate company would want to scam people.
And if you would have read the OP then you would have noticed it said they are going to start selling not they are selling.

If it's "starting to go up pretty quick" then I assume they will be selling far before the permit/development process is complete as that's certainly not quick. You remember how difficult it was for the CrossIron development to get off the ground. How is this one going to be quick when they haven't even applied yet?
Sounds like when you say selling, it actually means intent of purchase. Judging by the boards, someone is pitching an idea to possible investors, going to try getting intents to purchase, then try to pitch it to the MD for permits.

Why is there Chinese on all those concept storefronts? Stolen/recycled art from Asia? They couldn't even bother to photoshop it out? It really does look like an Asian style mall where every shop is basically a tiny glass booth but this type of mall does encourage small personal businesses rather than the standard mall franchises.

the place looks like 400 Dollar Stores/cheap junky trinkets stores......seems odd that the mall is supposedly selling space, but google has no knowledge of this mall......

In the US they seem to do this in the outlet areas (set up a few malls in the area). Also Balzac mall took so long to get going because of water issues...safe to assume getting water to a new development in the area will be no big deal now.
Strange/yet interesting design concept. Wonder who that might actually attract?

Balzac doesn't sound like a prime location for something like that.

I was going to mention that the city already has two flea markets, but in fairness, the northern half of the city could use one too.
