Calgary Bachelor Party
As the title says, I'm organizing a bachelor party in Calgary at the end of the month and have most of it planned out, with golf and the works. But as it currently stands, we will have 3-4 hours of time to kill and we are drawing blanks of what to do.
We are all from the Red Deer area and don't know the city of Calgary too well, so I decided to ask CP about what could we possibly do in Calgary on a saturday afternoon?

they've got these new facilities...called strip clubs...they seem like a nice place to kill an hour or two.

Last bachelor party I took part it went a little like this.....
1 - drink
2 - golf & drink
3 - limo & drink
4 - casino & drink
5 - limo & drink
6 - peelers & drink
7 - limo & drink
8 - club & drink
9 - puke
10 - ?????
11 - profit
With all that said I'd recommend casino & drink..... or make drink & laser quest haha.

Bingo!! On your way down from Red Deer, there is a place near Carstairs called Silver Willow golf and sporting club- golf course looks like a dump, but the sporting clays they have are pretty good- we hit that place up for a bachelor party last year and it was good times.

+1 to skeet shooting, or drink and laserquest
depends what your buddy likes, you could go paintballing out past cochrane, for lunch at the calgary tower, see a movie (add drinking to any of the above or many other activities). deep fry a turkey?

For a bachelor party I was at a few years a go we rented some private "strippers". It was awesome and the rest didnt have to pay $10 for a warm draft beer.
It was also very reasonable price considering. Their only condition was they wouldnt show up at a house, at to be at a hotel etc.

Rent a hotel, hire some entertaining, bring your own booz.
Cheeper and better than the strip club.

thanks for the suggestions guys. Never thought of shooting range.
Im not much of a gun guy, but it sounds like it would be a blast. The only question is if every person would need a gun certificate or license to go?
Strippers is also a great idea, and it is why i had already thought of it

did the skeet shooting thing last year, nobody needs a license, they will quickly show anybody how to shoot the guns, give you the PPE and everything. (at least the one south of calgary did that)

I was going to post the shooting thing too. I took a bunch of guys to the shooting edge when I did my friends stag. It was awesome, and you get to pick from a smorgasborg of handguns rifle etc. You have to go before the drinking though. They won't let you in the booth if you have been drinking. I would factor in about 50-75 bucks a head for ammo.

Whatever happened to the simpler things in life with bachelor parties. A round of golf followed by heavy drinking, hours of strippers, cigars more heavy drinking, The Captain plowing the strippers, followed by a smoke, then at 4 in the morning of the wedding day you go for a Denny's big breakfast throw the groom in his tux and make the walk of doom to the chapel.

I attended the epic bachelor parties of all bachelor parties about 10 years ago, and 3 guys ended up in divorce court because of it. It was a stripper/hooker/blow/plow fest, and there were about a dozen of them, and about 50 guys there. This was right at the start of the whole social networking/everyone carrying a digital camera thing, and the guys weren't so smart about what was going on.
I think now, these things are a lot tamer for that exact reason. You cannot have a real bachelor party anymore, not unless you confiscate all cell phones and cameras at the door.

That kind of story deserves better than a coles notes summary.

The Bacelor parties I have planned consist of an entire weekend. Golf the first day foillowed by bbq, beer and strippers. Day 2 will be in Calgary with more drinking, more strippers and the bar at the end of the night. I was missing a 4 hour window, which I had no idea what to do.
I think the range is a great idea, thanks guys
