For all the fans of Canadian music, the Polaris Music Prize is:

A not-for-profit organization that honours, celebrates and rewards creativity and diversity in Canadian recorded music. Polaris recognizes and markets albums of the highest artistic integrity, without regard to musical genre, professional affiliation, or sales history. it is is adjudicated by selected music journalists, broadcasters and bloggers.

Good list. What is the time frame to be nominated?

To qualify, albums must have been released in full between June 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011.

My favorites would be New Pornographers, Destroyer, Land of Talk, Arcade Fire

Glad to see Hey Rosetta on there. They're my favourite band and the new album was fantastic.

My cousin picked up a Hey, Rosetta album for me for Christmas last year.
Not too shabby...I would be happy to see them win it.
