Default Quick Travel Question

I'm going to be in town and have to bring a suit with me. I'm using Air Canada and they allow one check-in and one carry-on baggage. Normally I carry a duffle/gym bag as my carry-on, but this time I'm bringing a suit in hand, in addition to the dufflebag. Would this be a problem? I'm just curious before I pack.

I'd say you can probably get away with calling it your "personal article," using the guidelines from here:

You'll be fine. I bring suit bags all the time and have never been questioned, even when I have another carry on piece. I would never trust my suits or shirts to go underneath with the cargo.

Often you'll see large carry on suitcases and a lap top bag, both of which look larger than the allowed limits. A suitbag will be much smaller than these.

If neither item fits under the seat you may have an issue but probably no one will say a word.

You can also ask the attendant to hang your suit bag in the front closet if there is room (not always)

I bought a suit bag from Moores or some other suit place (cheap plastic but works). If you can't get them to hang it up, you can lay it on top of some bags in the overhead. Or, fold it gently and lay it down on top of YOUR bag - otherwise it will get crushed.

Has anyone else ever tried the super-folding suit technique? I seem to always wind up with creases... just need more practice, I suppose.

There's lots of different suggestions but this one is the one I tried last:
